Brand Identity and DesignBack To Top

Drawing on the past and present to create a modern London based brand.

This project had a high allocation of budget for the design, allowing us to spend the necessary time properly explore, mature and develop the brand identity. We began by colouring wireframes with gold and racing green before we agreed to proceed with a black and white interface with sparse dashes of London Transport Red for focal points.

We considered London based illustrations to provide graphical assets such as logo emblem, town houses and drawings which depicted characters interlacing with large letters which were relevant to the scene (such as G for Governess), which complimented dictionary descriptions and pronunciations to suit the theme of tutoring. Illustrations were revised to ensure that the brand did not reflect Victorian values.

Support was provided to the illustrator to ensure lines were the correct thickness so detail was not lost between varying sizes of display and usage. We also provided support with the aspect ratio of certain elements such as banners and illustrations. We provided 50 different treatments for the text in the logo and various symbolism to help Chris complete the set of icons for the dashboard.
