Jade Solutions (UK) Ltd is an approved City & Guilds centre, specialising in providing continual professional development in training and assessment for individuals, companies and educational settings. We have been working with Karen and Jade Solutions since 2009 and during this time we have provided three major updates to the public facing WordPress based system to represent the company.

We also develop and retain the secure PHP based Virtual Learning Environment for Jade Solutions, this is regularly updated to maintain efficiency. In 2009 Jade made a major break through by managing to secure the .co.uk domains for each of the qualifications they were providing – dtlls, ctlls and ptlls.co.uk. This catapulted the company to the top of Google and they became recognised as the leading authority in the provision of these educational awards in the UK.

2018 updates

Karen and the Jade Solutions team requested a proposal to show how MM&B would change their online identity to appeal to larger businesses who place bookings for multiple candidates.

Client's requirements

Create an online strategy, update the WordPress based front end and apply efficiency updates to Version 3 of Jade's Virtual Learning Environment:

An upgrade to the hosting of the VLE, migrating to digital ocean. Also changes to the coursework and feedback facilities, keeping the interface simple, elegant and informative.
A refreshed WordPress system to modernise the representation of the company – this included functionality to manage online presence work in house using the latest workflow tools. Evaluating how the site was being used and re-comprehending the latest information for consistency and ease of access.
Recent policy changes to browser security had also underlined the requirement for SSL certification and to provide the most secure experience for visitors of Jade Solution’s website.

We also proposed and secured

To deliver Jade Solutions' requirements, MM&B Studio proposed and were commissioned to provide the following:

New animated hero area using Revolution Slider to present why various industries use Jade for their in-house training provision
Copywriting various options to demonstrate how to approach the language used on the website for different markets
We created two promotional videos, creating the script, recording the narrative and composing client-provided visual assets with selected stock images
Set up sales funnels, landing pages, calls to action, time allocated to Google My Business and Webmaster Tools enhancing Jade’s online presence.

Project Summary

The project totalled around 80 hours split between the new WordPress build, updates to the VLE and server migration process. We provided a live development site for the client to review and contribute towards the project. MM&B also supplied tutorial sessions, online support and provided ‘How To’ printed materials detailing the updated interface.
