The Governess of London provides private tuition and legal guardianship for international families who aspire to educate their children privately in England. With clients from across Asia and Europe, The Governess combines ‘Steiner Waldorf’ and ‘Montessori’ approach to both the education and upbringing of children. Based in London, this successful business is in high demand for tuition services. MM&B Studio competitively pitched with four other agencies and went on to win, design and develop the management system. The features allow Governess directors to connect an international audience to their London based operations.

Brand identity and design

This project had a high allocation of budget for the design, allowing us to spend the necessary time to properly explore, mature and develop the system and brand identity.

Client's requirements

The objective was to design and develop an advanced customer relationship management tool to:

Assess and track the academic, cultural and social development of children
Schedule staff, children, contractors, paid events and family arrangements
Create bespoke educational activity packages for children
Allow bookings, invoicing, time sheets, expenses and accounts
Provide resources, assessment, reports and application assistance for top UK/London schools

Proposing innovative concepts

In addition, MM&B Studio proposed new concepts and was commissioned to provide:

Public facing front end site, promoting the business and services
Art direction and collaboration with Nike illustrator Chris Martin, providing assets for the website and marketing materials
Consultancy, e-mails, hosting, configuration of web based services
Business cards, printed materials, vehicle livery and careers event online application process
A built-in quick alert text message service, keeping everyone connected.

Project Summary

Production began in January 2015 and continued into 2016 with ongoing improvements and new concepts. The main application comprises of a portal for parents and The Governess Of London administration team. Following the completion of testing, the application was launched for the summer intake of new children.

The Governess team is able to prepare, update and schedule the educational diary for multiple clients efficiently. The business is now able to scale up. Both parents and staff can to log in and view their child’s progress, and manage the logistics of pastoral care, extracurricular activities and private education.
