After years of working with photography and image manipulation, I spent 8 months living in rural France in 2005 and decided to turn my passion into a career.

I studied Multimedia Design at Manchester Metropolitan University then worked for an agency in Preston, experiencing a baptism of fire! I learned quickly how to produce professional, creative and consistent work appealing to each client’s target audience in a pressured environment. What I didn’t expect was the amount of unique individuals I would meet and work with, learning the most sensitive things about their business. Within months, I knew I wanted to run my own agency.

I returned to Buxton in 2008 and spread the word that I offered design services, gradually taking enough projects to start my own business. I founded FreshSpark Creative with Mike Howe, we built the business from scratch, bootstrapping and running a fairly low risk model. I met Simon and Nicola in 2009 and built a positive working relationship, collaborating on the majority of our web development projects and the results were great.

A keen problem solver, I’m committed to all things creative, inspired by nature, making people smile and music with atmosphere. I love living in Buxton, its beautiful and the people here are great. I live and work amongst creative mavericks, music makers and listeners, could-be-comedians, chatterboxes and rock solid allies. I encourage my clients to push their use of design and be creative in how they connect with their audience. I do my research, get to know how my clients like to operate and design systems which compliment their business.
